Oman's Modern Renaissance

Oman's Renaissance In 1970, after a period of long isolation, Oman turned a new page in history when His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said succeeded his father and led the Renaissance that inspired dramatic changes in all aspects of life.

The Renaissance led to the establishment of a modern state, the rule of law, and relations with the world community based on:

  • Mutual respect to the national sovereignty of other states.
  • Non-interference in the internal affairs of others.
  • Good neighbourliness.
  • Peaceful co-existence.
  • Exchange of mutual interests.
